Had a spectacular thunderstorm last night. We need the rain, but holy cow! It was impressive to the point that the TV stations were interrupting their broadcasts to issue warnings. Saw the Ben Franklin Bridge get hit once, along with the IMMEDIATE clap of thunder.

[Yikes.]

Things are returning to normal. Suki brought Yellow Mouse to me in bed, something she has not done since she had her surgery. As a reward, I brought her another mouse (from Super Fresh) - its name is Green Mouse.

[She promptly ignored it.]

Spent about nine hours at THE HOUSE this weekend going over things that need to be done - or repaired. I am meeting with Oscar tomorrow morning to go over what needs to be done this week.

Other than that, a very quiet weekend. I haven't been sleeping well lately - waking up at 3:30 or so each morning - so I think I'll hit the sack early tonight.

Quote du jour:

"A good poet is someone who manages, in a lifetime of standing out in thunderstorms, to be struck by lightning five or six times."

-- Randall Jarrell (1914 - 1965) US critic, poet, novelist
