It's been a busy day. Good, productive, but busy. Scads of phone calls, conference calls, e-mails and faxes. Jennifer called to see who won the baby pool in the office. I think it is Paul Marino, who was the only one left in the pool since Ethan was over a week past his due date. I have a rental car tonight, so I am going to pick it up, run a few errands and stop at the hospital to meet the new little guy.

Speaking of air miles . . . well, I was speaking about them the other day . . . saw a story about a cat that got out of its carrier on an airplane and logged 63,000 miles over the next ten days. A couple was flying from Qatar to London on a British Airways flight when their cat, Ozzy, escaped from his carrier and disappeared. Ten days later, BA staff at Heathrow International Airport spotted the cat hiding in the hold after making a 6,300-mile round trip every day.

"If he was registered for British Airways Miles he would have earned enough miles to travel free to Rio de Janeiro and back plus a trip or two to Europe," a British Airways spokesman added.

[I'm sure Ozzy would be thrilled to hear that.]

Quote du jour:

"If I had to choose, I would rather have birds than airplanes."

Ozzy the Cat

[Just kidding - actually it was Charles A. Lindbergh (1902 - 1974) US aviator]
