It is lovely to have a truly lazy day every so often. I got up late - having gone back to sleep after Suki's 4:00 a.m. scalp massage. I sat outside, read the paper and had breakfast. Very mellow.

At noon I had a meeting at the warehouse. They've gotten most of the garden cleared out, nearly finished the master bedroom deck and have the major beams up for the gallery on the second floor. It's nice to be able have a better sense of the kitchen's ceiling location. Oscar gave me a CD ROM with pictures of the house from May until now - I've formatted them and they are here on the website.

Enjoy!

Quote du jour:

"Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world."

-- Ada Louise Huxtable (1921 - ____) US critic, editor
