go out

dinner

Thursday, 06 January, 2005

Going out to dinner tonight with Eva, John K and Jon. We've been trying to plan this for over a month now - hard to get the schedules lined up. Eva has selected the restaurant - Meritage.

[Unless we don't like it, in which case John K selected the restaurant.]

The aunts have given a name to their planned invasion of Philadelphia:

OPERATION UBER-MOMS

Seems appropriate given that the planning will likely be similar to Operation Overlord. But I've suggested mid-May instead of June, since the weather *should* be OK, yet it's before the tourist rush.

Speaking of tourists, Mom asked me to repost my tourist information page for Philadelphia. I updated it a bit for 2005.

[Gee, there's a lot to do here!]

The garbage collectors seemed to have picked up everything the other day, although I haven't been out into the back street to see if they got the boxes and bags there. There were a couple of boxes that looked as though they'd been rifled through and left on the sidewalk, and my trash cans were knocked over - slobs.

[Love those city services.]

Quote du jour:

"New York City has finally hired women to pick up the garbage, which makes sense to me, since, as I've discovered, a good bit of being a woman consists of picking up garbage."
