When we got home yesterday we were very surprised to find that we had houseguests! We had a large envelope from Davis and Isa. Their letter read:

Dear Kay

We want to learn about the states so we thought we'd start with you. We are sending Flat Davis and Isa to visit you. Can you please send us a letter back telling us about Pennsylvania? Thank you!

Dear Kay

I love you. We are sending a letter to you from Flat Isa and Flat Davis. Tell us about your state. We had a book about Pennsylvania, a Jack and Anniy book. They live in Pennsylvania. Not for rill thow.

Love,
Davis and Isa

P.S. Please be sure to send us back Flat Davis & Isa! Thanks!

We are happy that Flat Davis and Isa can spend a few days with us. Suki is also thrilled - she loves having guests!

So now I need to bone up on my PA facts. Actually, there's quite a bit of history involved, so I'll try to boil it down to some interesting things. We'll see how I do.

[I hope I get a good grade.]

Speaking of history, I watched a video on line called "Crystal Morning". It is a video memorial to September 11, 2001.

On a remarkably clear morning five years ago, New York City came under attack. This video memorial, taken from footage shot by eyewitness David Vogler, shows New Yorkers waking up to that grim reality. Crystal Morning tells the story of September 11th, 2001 through fire and ambulance radio calls, the 911 call of a trapped World Trade Center worker, and the lens of local resident who saw an explosion while walking to work.

It is not long, but very moving.

[Five years ago this Monday.]
