We drove out to the King of Prussia Mall on Thursday night to check out Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel in our search for a sofa bed/chair combination for the shore. Unfortunately Pottery Barn would be a 6-8 week wait, and Crate and Barrel had one that was "okay", but we weren't enthused enough to spend $4,000 on it.

We went to Sullivan's Steakhouse for dinner and had a really nice meal, then stopped by the IKEA in Conshohocken (just outside of Philly). It is much bigger than the one in town and they actually had a sofa bed/chair combo in stock that we liked. We also found the two dressers for the guest room that they didn't have at the Philly store and arranged to have it all shipped down on the same day as well.

[Yea!]

Oh, and I had my interview with the condo manager. He called me Thursday afternoon and asked if we would be down this weekend. When I said no, he said, "We can do this over the phone if you'd like." It consisted of him telling me about the parking space, storage locker, pool rules, no pets.

[Sorry, Suki.]

Gary was on call last night. Since he was going to have a case starting at some point, I packed up all the raw ingredients, a skillet and a knife and went to the on-call condo to cook dinner there. He went over to do the case around 6:15 - it was ultimately cancelled - so he came back and I prepared to cook dinner. Put the skillet on the range and turned on the burner.

Nothing happened.

After pulling out the range, we discovered that they never hooked up the range. Luckily, we're right downtown and have plenty of restaurant options. We tried "El Vez", Stephen Starr's Mexican place a couple of blocks away, but they were packed. We have done "Caribou Cafe" three times recently, so went to "Moriarty's", a pub nearby. I had a burger with a nice side salad and Gary had strip steak with salad and baked potato. It was really pretty good. The noise factor is a bit loud, but I'd go back there again.

This morning we came home around 8:00 and I continued working on the photos from the Uber-Mom and Trollop visits. I plan to finish this weekend and get stuff sent out.

The last time the Trollops went to Sonoma, we went to Belvedere Winery. One of their labels is called "Jest Red" and one of the tasting room staff gave us a postcard saying, "This reminds me of you four." Their slogan is: "Sip Delicately, Sing With Abandon."

Jest Red Winery

This year, we decided to recreate the Jest Red label - without the togas. We took a few shots in the living room and - some photoshopping later - TA DA!

Jest Silly

[And, yes, we did drink some Jest Red wine. Why do you ask?]
